After more than 13 years, and tens of thousands of questions, we’re finally closing Moz Q&A. Whilst we’re not completely removing the content - many posts will still be possible to view - we’re locking both new posts and new replies. Why? The truth is that the conversation has moved elsewhere. Sites like Twitter, Reddit, and more recently BlueSky and LinkedIn, have largely replaced specialist forums. At the same time, the challenge of moderating a platform like this has become more difficult, and of course, we’re SEOs, and the sheer quantity of new pages generated, often by malicious actors, has its challenges in terms of what it does to the profile of our site. Forums are still an opportunity for many sites, in SEO and more broadly, but the calculus no longer works for Moz. Where can I ask my question instead? Unsolved MOZ API for domain authority
I am using the MOZ API to check domain authority (DA). Recently, I noticed a discrepancy: the DA value retrieved via the API differs from the result on the MOZ homepage. Specifically, the API returns a DA of 10, while the homepage shows "NO DATA." Additionally, other services like Ahrefs report a DA of 0. I relied on the MOZ API's result when purchasing this domain and now feel misled. I would like to understand the exact reason for this inconsistency.

Unsolved Website with no backlinks and a DA of 1 ranks first. Why?
https://www.realestatephotos.melbourne does not have any backlinks and has a DA of 1.

This site ranks first for keywords - real estate photography melbourne and property photography melbourne.
Not sure why.
URL contains keywords and site is ok. But other sites with many links and higher DA rank lower. Why? Garry1 -
Should I "no-index" two exact pages on Google results?
Hello everyone, I recently started a new wordpress website and created a static homepage. I noticed that on Google search results, there are two different URLs landing on same content page. I've attached an image to explain what I saw. Should I "no-index" the page url? Google url.JPG In this picture, the first result is the homepage and I try to rank for that page. The last result is landing on same content with different URL. So, should I no-index last result as shown in image?

HI Moz Community, I have a little issue about my site DA. My site has more than 100 strong backlinks but still my Domain authority is less than 20 But on the other hand Ahrefs show my site Domain rating is 30+. So i have a question is how can I increase my site Domain authority?

Comparing Domain Authority Scores
Since your scale (like PageRank) is a logarithmic scale, it makes it hard to judge the distance between 2 scores. Can you give me a rule of thumb. For PageRank, each jump is an exponential jump - so that a PR6 is perhaps 10 times stronger than a PR5. What is the log base that SEOMoz uses. Should I assume that a 60 is 10 times stronger than a 50? This is important when it comes to measuring progress because growth is going to get more difficult as you move up the scale and I need to communicate the distance between our current Authority score and our goal. Is there a way to get the domain authority of a subdomain?
For example, www.storage-mart.com and us.storage-mart.com both show the same DA in OSE. I believe it's the DA of the root domain. How can I compare the DA of the 'www' and 'us' subdomains?

How fast can page authority be grown
I understand that it is easier to rank for a particular keyword given a higher DA score. How fast can page authority be established and grown for a given keyword if DA is equal to 10/20/30/50? What are the relative measures that dictate the establishment and growth of this authority? Can it be enumerated to a percentage of domain links? or a percentage of domain links given an assumed C-Block ratio? For example you have a website with DA of 40, and you want to target a new keyword, the average PA of the top ranked pages is 30, the average domain links are 1,000, and the average number of linking domains is 250 - if you aim to build 1,000 links per month from 500 linking domains, how fast can you approximate the establishment of page authority for the keyword?
